    I purchased a new 328i in August, 2009 and during the sale, asked the dealer to install and activate satellite radio. He advised due to a software issue that is yet to be resolved by corporate, he could not install the system. Has anyone heard anything more on this issue?

DIY with some of the products offered in BAV Autosport catalog like the paint chip repair pens, etc. (not inclined or confident in my skill or abilities...), b.) using a reputable paint shop around NW Chicago (suggestions...?), or c.) biting the $$ bullet and taking it to the BMW dealer bodyshop for an estimate. My financial picture has improved a bit since then with the prospect of a new job in January (CA), and some projects I'm working on now. Unfortunately I won't see most of the money until towards the end of December. Right now I have about $5K which is not enough... so I keep working and keep looking. But I HAVE to buy a car within about two months (current car is "totaled") and I will not be able to renew registration... plus the move from Miami to LA in January.     Given the recent news with Toyota's problem with stuck accelerator pedals, one of the things to do is to shift the car into neutral. I have tried to flip the sports auto transmission into netural while driving (just pushing the shifter up but not pushing the button otherwise that would put the car in reverse gear, right?) but the system doesn't allow that to happen until you reach a pretty low speed. The manual isn't really much help. Is there a step I'm missing? As well, it appears that Mercedes are equipped with an accelerator cutoff if the brake is firmly depressed to bring a car to a…

    Had my 2000 535i looked at the other day by a local mechanic. The problem that has plaqued the car for 2 weeks now and was getting worse was a feeling of the car wandering all over the road. I read on various forums of tramlining and how tyre size and wear, wheel alignment and suspension problems can contribute to this. After spending my hard earned on a safety, suspension and wheel inspection the technician informed me that the car was in as new condition and he could see no reason for the car's wandering.
